CLO Leadership and Board Testimonies
"I love the way CLO sees the people we serve as people who deserve a place to live and deserve to have a place where they are loved and cared for, and not pushed away. We have made great progress over the years. It really pleases me and encourages me. We did what we were required to do at first, and over the years we have become more fully understanding of the needs of our population. We have seen that the smaller the home, and the more like a home, the better off everyone is and the happier they are. I have watched the evolution of our residential programs, and hopefully we can keep getting people into the best case scenario and living the life they want. I want to make sure their lives are in balance, we we always listen to our people. This is why I work with CLO, especially with guardianship and advocacy, to give our people the voice they don't often have." - Sylvia Lautzenheiser; CLO board member for more than 30 years. She started her career as a special education teacher and began a respite care program for CLO in 1979.
“The miracle of deep personal involvement has been the driving force behind everything we do. Our mission is to create service models and programs that arrange, cultivate, aspire and support deep personal involvement by highly capable people.” - Dr. Michael Strouse, President & CEO, CLO/GoodLife Innovations, Inc.
